Russians Ekaterina (Katia) Gordeeva and Valeri Bure were named winners of CBC reality series Battle of the Blades during its second season finale last night.
The show sees former pro figure skaters and former hockey players compete as figure skating pairs.
As winners of the competition, Gordeeva and Bure receive $100,000 for the charities of their choice -- Cardiac Kids and Compassion Canada, respectively.
During his time in the NHL, Bure played for teams in Montreal, Calgary, Florida, St. Louis and Dallas.
Most notably, however, he is married to former Full House star Candace Cameron Bure, with whom he has three children.
