J.D. Fortune back INXS

J.D. Fortune is rejoining INXS for its upcoming Australian tour, after the Canadian singer prematurely announced he had been kicked out of the band in 2009.

“There was a lot of miscommunication,” Fortune says about that time he whined to the press about no longer being with the band. “Honestly, one side was being told one thing, I was being told another. And at one point, we were literally being told not to talk to each other.”

Fortune became the band's frontman in 2005, by winning the reality series Rock Star: INXS. He released a record and toured with the band.

But in 2009, he fell out of touch with the band, and found himself living out of his truck in Mississauga. That's when he told his sob story to ET Canada, while management insisted he had not been kicked out of the band.

Fortune and the rest of the band talked out their issues in L.A. last year -- thank goodness!

And now he'll front their eight-city Australian tour in 2011.

He's also part of INXS's next album, Original Sin, a collection of reworked INXS songs featuring vocals from Ben Harper, Rob Thomas and more.
