Big Bang Theory is Canada's most-watched show

Four seasons into its run, CBS sitcom Big Bang Theory has become Canada's most-watched show.

The series moved to Thursdays at 8 p.m. this season, and its audience followed. The show's averaging more than 3 million viewers per episode.

According to CTV, which broadcasts the show in Canada, the only comedy program that has pulled a larger audience in Canada is the series finale of Friends in 2004.

Must be something about that Thursday 8 p.m. timeslot!

The show is also helping CBS win Thursday nights in the States.

"The people who love the show don't like complicated stories," series star Simon Helberg said in Toronto last week. "All our stories are really simple, even if it involves formulas or robot arms or whatever these guys are dealing with. Our writers like small stories with big characters."

Apparently audiences do too!
