Leighton Meester's got two more seasons on her Gossip Girl contract, and after that she'll be hanging up Blair Waldorf's designer frocks for good.
Meester "obviously enjoys working on the show and living in New York," the actress told E!Online at a junket for her new movie Country Strong. But she's pleased producers have been flexible with the cast's schedules, to allow them to take on other projects.
"It allows you to be ready for when the show's over," she says.
As for whether the whole show would end when her contract's up, Meester isn't sure.
"But I think there's that old saying about wanting to go out on top," she says.
Well, I think we're a little late for that. But at least Gossip Girl has been significantly more entertaining this season than last.
Honestly, I think this show could xoxo into the sunset at any point now, without too many tears shed.
