On the cover: Ryan Gosling for GQ

Ryan Gosling brings his damn fine self to the January 2011 cover of GQ Magazine.

The 30-year-old Canadian actor channels Cary Grant and Marlon Brando in the photo shoot by Mario Testino.

“Look, this is crazy. I don’t understand how I’m here, living this life, wearing this suit. I assume I’m going to pay for it someday," Gosling says of his movie star life.

He knows not to take advantage of it, though. The problem with Hollywood, he tells the magazine, is that nobody works. That drove him to get a "real job" at a sandwich shop after the Notebook.

“[People in Hollywood] have meals. They go to Pilates. But it’s not enough. So they do drugs," he says. "If everybody had a pile of rocks in their backyard and spent every day moving them from one side of the yard to the other, it would be a much happier place.”
