BB12: Hayden, King of the House

After a roller coaster season filled with romance, backstabbing and a successful alliance, JC started this year's 2hour season finale with a recap of all the drama had and a preview of the drama to come from inside the BB and jury house.

Going right into the third stage of the final HoH competition, Lane and Hayden go head to head in a test about how much each knows of their former houseguests, which brought them to a tiebreaker asking how many times they were flung up against the walls in the first stage of the final HoH - Hayden came out on top as the final HoH of BB12. Within minutes he ousts Enzo from the house and sees him sitting beside Lane waiting for the $500,000 prize.

The jury questions were - unexpectedly - lack lustre with Matt's being the most meaty asking Lane if he would take a Brigade member over Britney to the final - being honest he said he would be loyal to the Brigade. As expected, meat-head Hayden gave a speech focused on his brute strength and not on his relations with any of the houseguests. Lane, on the other hand, tugged at the heart strings of all the houseguests and highlighted his relationships with the houseguests and the key social game he played in the house.

Matt's lies dominated the discussion among the ousted houseguests with Andrew repeating the correct pronunciation of Matt's wife's non-disease. Definitely a bone of contention on moral and ethical values has helped to define Matt's character more since he's left the house than when he was in it.

When it came down to it, this is how the jury voted -

Rachel - Lane
Kathy - Hayden
Matt - Hayden
Brendon - Lane
Ragan - Hayden
Britney - Lane
Enzo - Hayden

Hayden is crowned BB12's winner and walks away from the house with $500,000 - not bad for a 24 yr old. The final icing on the cake was Britney being selected as America's favourite houseguest and receiving $25,000. Ultimately five BB12 players took home the dough this season -

Hayden - $500,000 (BB12 Winner)
Lane - $50,000 (BB12 runner-up)
Britney - $25,000 (America's favourite houseguest)
Ragan - $20,000 (The Sab 2.0)
Monet - $10,000 (initial wiener HoH competition)

Despite speculation from episode to episode only a small number of my many predictions came to fruition. Highlighting JC's ongoing catch phrase - expect the unexpected. A season of firsts, flirts and a feisty redhead led these 13 houseguests through three months of chaos, competitions and (some) camaraderie and presented the most original, (occasionally) boring and dynamic cast and season of the American BB series.

If you're lucky (?) enough to be be an American resident and want to apply for next season's BB - applications are now available!
