The performances during last night's MTV Video Music Awards were largely lacklustre, with the exception of Florence + the Machine's (better video, clip 18 here).
After Justin Bieber and Usher poorly lipsynced through their choreographed routines, Florence Welch demonstrated exactly how one goes about giving a powerful vocal performance along with stage presence.
Choreographed by Travis Wall, Florence performed her VMA-nominated song Dog Days Are Over.
It was easily the best performance of the night!
