If it weren't for Lady Gaga, I'm not sure there would be much relevance to handing out hardware like the MTV Video Music Awards.
So it's appropriate that the Bad Romance and Telephone singer took home a field best eight moon men at last night's MTV VMAs in Los Angeles.
Gaga donned a dress made of meat to accept the night's big honour: Video Of The Year for Bad Romance.
Earlier in the evening she also won the awards for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video, Best Dance Video, Best Choreography, Best Editing and Best Art Direction for Bad Romance, and Best Collaboration for Telephone featuring Beyonce.
Eminem, meanwhile, took home two awards for his video for Not Afraid -- Best Male Video and Best Hip Hop Video.
