Meth addict turned mom Jodie Sweetin received quite the birthday gift from her current partner Morty Coyle on Tuesday night - an engagement ring!
Coyle, a DJ, proposed to Sweetin in front of her birthday party guests at L.A.'s Kibitz Room.
"It was a complete surprise," Sweetin says. "We are just thrilled and I am in shock still!"
If that quote sounds familiar, it's probably because this will be 29-year-old Sweetin's third marriage.
Sweetin has a five-month-old daughter named Beatrix with Coyle, as well as a two-year-old daughter named Zoie with her second husband Cody Herpin. Somehow her first husband Shaun Holguin managed to avoid impregnating her.
But don't go thinking Sweetin's rushing into anything with Coyle.
"We are in no hurry as far as dates or anything like that," she says. "We want to wait until there's equality for everybody to get married."
Wait a minute. Did Jodie Sweetin just turn her third marriage into some sort of gay rights quest? I'm not sure I want that.
Coyle shines some added light onto the situation.
"Just because we weren't married doesn't mean she doesn't deserve a ring," he says.
Cool. Can't argue that we all like shiny things.
