Canadians worried they would be missing out on quality Oprah time when she launches her own television network in the new year can rest easy: OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network is coming to Canada on March 2, 2011.
OWN will replace Corus Entertainment's VIVA station, the entertainment company announced this week.
Leading up to the launch, it will offer OWN programming on its W and VIVA stations in January and February.
This is very exciting news for me, as OWN is the home of Rosie O'Donnell's new daytime talk show.
The station also offers reality shows from Shania Twain and Sarah Ferguson.
It'll carry a little Cancon too: W cooking series Anna and Kristina's Grocery Bag was sold to OWN this week for broadcast in US and Canada.
