Canada's own Jimmy Brooks-Aubrey Graham-Drake will return home to host the 2011 Juno Awards from Toronto, CTV and CARAS announced last night.
The awards show, honouring the best in Canadian music, will take place March 27, 2011 from the Air Canada Centre.
As a young actor who played a teenage rapper in a wheelchair on CTV's Degrassi, Jimmy really does seem a natural choice to host the show.
Oh, I guess he's also become an actual international rap star. Who can walk.
"I am beyond honoured to be hosting this monumental Juno Awards in the greatest city on earth,” big Jim says via press release. “I want to bring a youthful energy to the show and encourage people to be excited about what Canadian music has to offer. See you all at the show."
The announcement was oh so conveniently revealed the same day Jimmy received four Grammy nominations.
