It's a battle of the Ryans, and one of their former flames, for a fan-voted award to be presented at the Genie Awards on March 10.
HollywoodLife.com is inviting users to log on and vote for their favourite Canadian-born acting talent in 2010.
Their five finalists include People's Sexiest Man Alive Ryan Reynolds, and legitimately great actor Ryan Gosling, nominated for a Golden Globe this year for Blue Valentine.
Also in the mix is Gosling's former lover and costar Rachel McAdams, who this year appeared in Morning Glory.
Finishing off the list are young ones Jay Baruchel and Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev, whose inclusion emphasizes this poll was organized by an online gossip site.
Forget about Canadian actors in critically-acclaimed films, like Ellen Page in Inception, or Scott Speedman and Rachel Lefevre in Barney's Version. We really need to be honouring the star of the CW's Vampire Diaries at the Genie Awards.
Obviously Gosling and McAdams are the most worthy contenders for this prize. If there was a way to make them both win, reunite and rekindle their romance as a result, I'd be pushing that to happen.
