2011 Oscar winners

It was business as usual to cap off the award season, as The King's Speech was named best picture, while its star Colin Firth was named best actor, and Natalie Portman won best actress for Black Swan at last night's Academy Awards.

Supporting acting honours went to the Fighter's Christian Bale and Melissa Leo.

Meanwhile, the best movie I've ever seen, Toy Story 3 won a well-deserved best animated feature trophy. Randy Newman won Best Original Song for We Belong Together, featured in the Disney-Pixar film.

Inside Job took best documentary feature, while Denmark's In A Better World took best foreign language film.

Rounding out the major categories, Tom Hooper took best director for the King's Speech, while David Seidler won best original screenplay for the same film. Aaron Sorkin took best adapted screenplay for the Social Network, which also won best score.
