Glee's Cory Monteith will return to Canada to host the 25th Annual Gemini Awards, event organizers announced yesterday.
The 28-year-old actor from Calgary will host the live televised gala, which honours the best in Canadian television, on November 13 from Toronto's Winter Garden Theatre.
“It is such an honour to host the Geminis,” Monteith said via press release. “My mom is so excited! I hope that I can make my fellow Canadians proud!
Cory's mom must be a huge fan of Flashpoint or something.
Bold move choosing a non-comedian to host a live televised show.
Monteith shouldn't feel too much pressure though. In true Canadian fashion, Global's airing the show on a Saturday night, when it knows no one's watching.
