This Monday, Rolling Stone will re-launch its official website with a complete digital replica of every print issue of the magazine from 1967 until today. To see the new digital archive, online readers will have to pay $29.99 for a year’s access to the Rolling Stone website, or $3.95 monthly. Online subscribers will also receive a print subscription. It will be the first time that a full issue will be featured on their website.
This decision, comes after a painful 2009 when the magazine sold nearly 20 per cent fewer ad pages than the previous year.
Rolling Stone will still provide free news updates, but full access will have to be purchased. Make sure to check out Rolling Stone on Monday, and share your thoughts about the new site.
