Rickey Minor – To Replace Kevin Eubanks on The Tonight Show

Rickey Minor

It has been announced that The Tonight Show’s bandleader Kevin Eubanks will leave the show this June. He will be replaced by the American Idol bandleader Rickey Minor, who will make his debut on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on June 7.

Rickey Minor is a composer and producer, who worked as musical director for Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and Whitney Houston.

Minor was also the bandleader for “Don’t Forget the Lyrics!”, and created music for the Grammy Awards and the Super Bowl. Kevin Eubanks will surely be missed, as he has worked with Jay Leno for so many years. Hopefully, this new transition will show to be successful.
