This deserves its own post.
After seven seasons as the amazing, talented, poised, charismatic, hilarious, beautiful host of So You Think You Can Dance, Cat Deeley finally got her first well-deserved Emmy nomination today for Outstanding Reality Show Host.
She should have been nominated every year since the category's inception in 2008.
But hey, Emmy's finally smartened up, and I'm so happy about it!
She takes on previous nominees Phil Keoghan, Jeff Probst, Ryan Seacrest and Tom Bergeron in the category.
In other So You Think You Can Dance/Emmy news, the show's choreographers dominated the Outstanding Choreography category. Mia Michaels, Canadian Stacey Tookey, Mandy Moore, Tabitha and Napoleon and former contestant Travis Wall fill the category, with Dancing With The Stars' Mark Ballas taking the last spot.
The show, meanwhile, got its first ever nomination for Outstanding Reality Competition Program.
Finally, my hours, and hours and hours of watching this amazing show are somehow vindicated!
(I'd watch it even if it wasn't nominated, because it is an awesome, awesome show).
