Amy Poehler spoke to the graduating class of 2011 at Harvard Class Day yesterday, relaying a series of funny and poignant messages along the way.
The Parks & Recreation star used her career in comedy to emphasize the importance of leaning on other people in good times and bad.
Even though I graduated four years ago (holy shit), Poehler did a great job speaking of lessons we can all apply to our daily lives.
"When you feel scared, hold someone's hand and look into their eyes. And when you feel brave, do the same thing," Poehler suggested.
She also said a lot of funny things, but that was the quote I wound back and rewatched a few times.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to listen to Vitamin C's Graduation Song while watching a slideshow of photos from Carleton journalism grad 2007.
Tears may be shed.
