Juno Awards: the Drake and Bieber show


No big surprises when the Juno nominees were announced yesterday: once again it's the Drake and Justin Bieber show!

Drake, who will host the broadcast ceremony from Toronto, walked away with a field best six nominations. That includes the Fan Choice Award, Single of the Year, Album of the Year and Artist of the Year.

Bieber, who refuses to go away, follows with four nominations including Fan Choice, Album of the Year and Pop Album of the Year.

The Arcade Fire also received four nods, for Album, Group, Songwriter and Alternative album of the Year.

Broken Social Scene, Hedley and Johnny Reid are also multiple nominees.

Other highlights include:

  • k.d. lang's rendition of Hallelujah, up for Single of the Year
  • Sarah McLachlan up for Artist, Songwriter and Pop Album of the year
  • Hannah Georgas nominated for Songwriter and New Artist of the Year, while Said The Whale is up for New Group of the Year
