Following yesterday's announcement that the CBC renewed Being Erica for season four, show creator Jana Sinyor took to a fan livejournal community to confirm it will also be the series' last.
"It's true. Season 4 is the end," she wrote. "It's important to [exec producer] Aaron [Martin] and I to be able to finish the story in a way that is satisfying to our audience. This is going to be a big year for Erica, and by the end of it - she will have finished the journey she started..."
Martin suggested as much in a December interview with Entertainment Weekly, where he stated if the show was picked up for season four it would answer "every question" about Erica's journey.
There would be “no Lost mystery, no Inception spinning-top teasing,” he said. Rather, the theme of the final season will be “coming full circle, fulfilling your purpose, and finding joy.”
