One exciting bit of news to emerge from yesterday's FOX upfront is that classic animated comedy The Flinstones will be making a return to TV in 2013.
Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is taking the helm to reboot the series.
And though the humour may be updated for present day audiences, the series will still reflect the Hanna Barbera classic, following two middle-class families -- the Flinstones and the Rubbles -- living in the dinosaur-era town of Bedrock.
"The very first cartoon character I drew at age two was Fred Flintstone," MacFarlane said in a statement. "So it's appropriate that events have come full circle, allowing me to produce the newest incarnation of this great franchise. Plus, I think America is finally ready for an animated sitcom about a fat, stupid guy with a wife who's too good for him."
Here's hoping for an epic return of a beloved TV classic!
