Gwen Stefani looks so damn gorgeous on the May 2011 cover of Elle, dubbed the 'Women In Music' issue.
Asked whether artists like Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have been influenced by her style, Gwen says she doesn't think so.
"Really? I don’t see myself in those girls. I usually put pants on," she says. (LOL!) "I see these girls as more going for the sex-symbol thing. I was more, in the band, like a tomboy. Of course, I think every girl is sexy, so there’s going to be a little of that. But I see a lot of younger artists going more toward the sexy thing.”
The 41-year-old singer, who's back recording with No Doubt, says she has no shame about trying to write hit songs that resonate with the masses.
"Why wouldn’t you want that many people listening to the songs that you wrote? There’s no way to go back after you have had it," she says. "So the intentions of even the solo records were always about trying to write those guilty-pleasure albums that just get in your head and you can’t get out."
Gwen was photographed in Givenchy and Michael Kors for the cover.
Also featured in Elle's Women In Music issue are Adele, Aretha Franklin, Feist, Nicki Minaj, Willow Smith, Florence Welch, Robyn and Stevie Nicks.
