Last year I publicly committed to eight new year's resolutions here on the blog.
Looking back, I'm surprised to say I completed half of them: eat more bacon, meet a man who doesn't taste like caeser salad dressing (I'm sure I met one somewhere along the line), travel to England with my roommate and get my G1.
This means that, no, I did not complete the most challenging task of making one new meal a month, and despite buying the appropriate gear I did not take up running.
But you know what? I also had a pretty fantastic 2010.
I told a friend as we rung in the new year last year that I didn't want to be in the same place when 2011 came around, and I'm certainly not.
Physically, I moved apartments. Personally, I've moved a few steps closer to being a "glass half full" type of person, without obnoxiously updating my Facebook status about how the beautiful sunset energizes me to the max, or some such bullshit.
(Pistol whip me if I ever become that person).
So for 2011, my resolutions seem achievable, and focused on fun. Here's what I've got:
1. Be a better gay: Listen to more Robyn.
2. Read more Sweet Valley High (as per Jackie's suggestion).
3. Dance at every possible opportunity. Even (especially) when no one else is.
4. Embrace friendships (old and new).
5. Eat even more bacon.
What are your resolutions, friends?
Looking forward to connecting with you throughout 2011!
