The Hollywood Foreign Press Association honoured a number of TV shows and actors for the first time at tonight's Golden Globe Awards.
Freshman series Boardwalk Empire took home the award for Best Drama Series, while its star Steve Buscemi took Best Actor in a Drama.
Katey Sagal also took her first ever Golden Globe, in the drama actress category for her work in Sons of Anarchy.
On the comedy series front, the Big C's Laura Linney took Best Actress, while Jim Parsons took Best Actor for the Big Bang Theory.
Meanwhile, Glee's Jane Lynch and Chris Colfer won their first Globes for Supporting Actress and Supporting Actor, respectively.
Finally, Glee edged out the more deserving Modern Family for Best Comedy Series.
