Carrie Underwood is set to sing the “The Star-Spangled Banner” at this year’s Super Bowl at which the New Orleans “Saints” and Indiana “Colts” will battle it out to win the ultimate NFL title of the year. The Super Bowl is supposed to kick off around 6:30 p.m. ET, but make sure to tune in earlier to watch Carrie sing the National Anthem.
Carrie comments on performing at the Super Bowl: "I am going to be extremely nervous. If I look like I am about to get sick on the field, I may at any moment during that song."
Carrie will also star in her first movie where she will play a youth counsellor based on surfer Bethany Hamilton who lost her arm to a shark attack in 2003. She has turned down many movies before, but really fell in love with the script of this movie.
