January Jones looks beautiful in purple on the May 2011 cover of Marie Claire UK.
The 33-year-old Mad Men star wore Gucci for the cover, and was feeling a little feisty during the interview.
"I'm masochistic," she says of what drew her to acting. "I'm afraid of judgement and I couldn't think of a job where you're more open to judgement, more exposed. I always have to face my fears."
Jones goes on to say she appreciates her alone time, prefers a small group of friends to an entourage, and doesn't have time for dating.
She also tires of talking about herself.
"When I talk about myself, half the time I'm lying," she says. "I do it because I'm bored of talking about myself, or I have nothing left to say, or I want to be private that day."
That may have a few side effects, however . . .
"Everybody writes that they think I'm so unhappy,' she says, though she maintains that's not the case. "Not at all. I'm in my own head. I'm doing things. Keeping things interesting."
